Eureka FC started around a family dining table in 1998 and we remain a small community club. We’re all about everyone getting out there and having fun! Since then, the club has grown considerably, with the beautiful game capturing the hearts and minds of our Eurekans. Making it the most popular sport in the clubs catchment.

Level 1 National Accreditation; meaning we adhere to Football Australia’s best practice child protection, policies and good governance. Today the club remains family-orientated; and with more than 200 players we’ve doubled registrations over the last four years. Although the club consists mostly of junior teams, we now proudly boast three senior men’s teams and 1 senior women’s team. The club is also aiming to have its first all girl junior team ready to go in 2017.

Eureka & Districts Sports Club, (our official title), is home to many suburbs; including Eureka, Federal, Rosebank, Clunes, Goonengerry, Coopers Creek, Coorabell, Possum Creek, Myocum, Repentance Creek, Corndale, Dorroughby, Upper Coopers Creek, Montecollum, Binna Burra, Nashua, Booyong and Eltham.

Eureka believes children learn their skills and good sportsmanship through a supportive and inclusive environment – that means parents & carers are involved helping our family of volunteer coaches. It’s about enjoyment and playing the game in the right spirit.

In 2012 the men’s Division 6 senior team, after winning the point-score championship and grand final, won the prestigious FFA Senior Men’s Amateur Team of the Year. With this wealth of football knowledge and experience filtering through the club, success has consistently followed. Last season all three senior men’s teams made the finals, the Division 6 team most successful. Three of the four senior teams won Fair Play awards, the women’s team taking home the title for the second year in a row. The juniors, although not having any finalists last year, continue to shine with over 10 players making local representative teams and more. Many of these youngsters set a standard of commitment that create a strong platform for future success. It is truly a testament to the quality of coaching, parenting and hunger within the club.

We play our home games and practice at Eureka Recreation Grounds behind the gorgeous Eureka Public School. Remnant ‘Big Scrub’ rainforest and macadamia farms, looking out over the rolling hills of Rosebank and the Border Ranges National Park, flank our fields.

There are two full size pitches within which we fit everyone including our smallest and bravest players in the Under 6’s. The season usually begins in April and runs till September, however, there are a number of ‘senior’ lunatics who start training in February and we’re still trying to get their boots off in December.

The club is able to run due to the help of our volunteers, selflessly giving up their time to keep the club moving forward. As the club gets no assistance from council, in regards to the grounds, all maintenance and at the club are made possible through the help of said volunteers. To make it all happen, we rely heavily on grant based funding to upgrade our facilities, including new lighting and improvements to the canteen as the most recent advancements.
